Brentwood is a mid-size residential neighbourhood in NW Calgary, located along the Crowchild Trail corridor near the University of Calgary. Brentwood homes for sale are typically single family detached houses, accounting for 77% of the housing share. Townhouses are the next most numerous at 9%, then apartments at 8%. Real estate use here is a mix of homeowners and renters. Brentwood is a popular income property community due to its proximity to the University of Calgary, especially with the completion of a large 4 building apartment complex at the Brentwood Village Shopping Centre. There are many shopping amenities conveniently located near Brentwood, including the Brentwood Village Shopping Centre, Northland Mall, and Market Mall; all within 10 minutes drive. Houses in Brentwood were mostly constructed in 1960s, and are typical of the bungalow suburban style popular at the time.
