Hidden Valley is a large North Calgary residential community in Calgary’s northern central suburbs. Established in 1990, Hidden Valley has a population of 11,874 people and 3,839 dwellings. It covers an area of 3.2 square kilometres. Hidden Valley homes for sale are largely single family detached houses which account for 89% of residential structures. The remaining 11% are duplexes and townhouses. There are currently no multi-family structures in Hidden Valley. The houses are characteristic of the 90s architectural suburban style of two story houses with horizontal vinyl siding. Houses have either attached street facing garage or detached alley facing garage. Hidden Valley is one of the few ‘lake communities’ in north Calgary, as they are primarily located in the SW and SE suburbs. The small artificial lake provides a waterfront property to a selection of the homes here.
Hidden Valley is bounded by Shagannapi Trail (west), Stoney Trail (north), Beddington Trail (east), and Country Hills Boulevard (south). Deerfoot is accessible within minutes via Country Hills Blvd. Trips to the city centre take approximately 25 – 35 minutes traffic depending. The Calgary International Airport is within 10 minutes drive.
Transit connections to Hidden Valley are provided by the 301 BRT route, which travels down Centre St. to the city centre with limited stops.
Country Hills Village shopping district is the nearest sizeable commercial area, and is within 10 minutes drive of Hidden Valley. Hidden Valley’s proximity to Stoney Trail give it convenient access to Crossiron Mills north of Calgary, one of the largest malls in the Calgary area.
The nearest major hospital is the Peter Lougheed Centre.
