Signal Hill is a large suburban residential community in SW Calgary overlooking Westhills Shopping Centre, by the corner of Glenmore Trail turning into Sarcee Trail. It is divided into the neighbourhoods of Sienna Hills and Signal Ridge. This community was established 30 years ago in 1987, and today has a population of 13,763 living in 5,129 homes. This area is homeowner centred with 92% of dwellings being occupied by the owner. Signal Hill homes for sale offer a better mix of options than many suburban communities. 65% of dwellings are single family detached, 20% are apartments, and the remaining are split up between townhouses and semi-detached single family homes. Road connections to Signal Hill will be vastly improved by the completion of the Ring Road, cutting travel time to south Calgary significantly. Signal Hill’s position on a high hill west of downtown gives many residences a magnificent mountainview, or a city view depending on orientation. It’s location on the western edge of town along Highway 8 allows for very fast access to the mountains, putting one of the prime recreational amenities of Calgary life in your backyard. Shopping is made convenient with proximity to Westhills Shopping Centre with many major retailers, and Glenmore Trail providing direct access to Chinook Centre and Deerfoot Meadows Shopping Centre, both within 15 minutes. These three spots can more than account for all shopping needs. MRU is less than 10 minutes away, along with COP. Signal Hill offers work life balance with convenient connectivity to work and amenities, schools within walking distance, and great access to outdoor recreation.
