Auburn Bay is one of Calgary's newest and most exciting communities, located on the southeastern edge of the city. This young community has a population of 7,193. It's connected to the city via Stoney Trail and Deerfoot Trail, both immediately accessible from the community. Macleod Trail is also only a 5 minute drive to the west - giving this community excellent access to both Calgary and routes out of the city.
Downtown is a 25 minute drive. Transit connections include regular busses to Somerset LRT station, as well as the BRT route 302 providing relatively quick access to Calgary's urban centre. The Green Line LRT will also eventually connect this community to Calgary's growing light rail transit system. Calgary International Airport is a 27 minute drive up Deerfoot Trail.

Auburn Bay has very convenient access to the McKenzie Lake commercial district, as well as the Shawnessy commercial area minutes away on MacLeod Trail. South Centre Mall provides access to many major retailers.
Auburn Bay has many green spaces, and is connected to Calgary's bike path network making it very easy to access Fish Creek Provincial Park, a jewel of Calgary's green spaces. This park would probably be enough for the explorer in you, but if not you can follow the bike path up the Bow River and the many amazing parks that line it.
Auburn Bay's location on the city's edge gives you incredible access to natural spaces within short driving distance of Calgary. Hopping on to Stoney Trail and driving west for 30 minutes is all it takes to get to Bragg Creek and the boundless Kananaskis Country Provincial Park. Once the SW leg of Stoney Trail is completed, access to the TransCanada highway will be easier than ever, making Banff that much closer.
