Located on the Calgary Southeast edge of the city, Auburn Bay is one of Calgary’s newest and most exciting communities to buy a home in. With a population of over 17,000 people, this growing community is popular with Calgarians who want to buy a home where they can raise a family. Connected to the city via Stoney Trail and Deerfoot Trail, both immediately accessible from the community, Auburn Bay has excellent access to the rest of the city.  Macleod Trail is also only a 5-minute drive to the west – giving this community excellent options and routes out of the city, as well.  Downtown is just a 25- minute drive away, close enough for a quick commute. Transit connections include regular busses to Somerset LRT station, as well as the BRT route 302 providing relatively quick access to Calgary’s bustling core. The Green Line LRT will also eventually connect this community to Calgary’s growing light rail transit system. Calgary International Airport is a 27-minute drive up Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail is another option. A proposed southeastern extension of the city’s C-Train system is planned to run along the community’s eastern boundary, parallel to 52 Street.

The Calgary Health South Campus Hospital in Seton is adjacent to this community, just  a 6-minute drive from the communities centre. Auburn Bay is an incredible place to live and has a very vibrant local community residents association for those who buy a home in the community. This park would probably be enough for the explorer in you, but if not, you can follow the bike path up the Bow River and the many amazing parks that line it. Auburn Bay’s location on the city’s edge gives those who buy a home in the area incredible access to natural spaces within short driving distance of Calgary. Hopping on to Stoney Trail and driving west for 30 minutes is all it takes to get to Bragg Creek and the boundless Kananaskis Country Provincial Park. Once the SW leg of Stoney Trail is completed, access to the TransCanada highway will be easier than ever, making Banff that much closer.
